VALORANT Patch 13.06: New Warden Rifle, Gauntlet: Glitched, Agent Mastery and the Champions 2026 Bundle
Riot released VALORANT Patch 13.06 on September 22, 2026 and called it the biggest patch of the year. It adds the Warden, a new 2,900-credit rifle; Gauntlet: Glitched, a limited-time 2v2 mode for 16 players; the Agent Mastery progression system; Performance Score in place of ACS; the Range while you wait in queue; and a merged Home and Lobby screen. The Champions 2026 “Frag or Die” bundle hit the store at the same time. Every patch number below comes from the official 13.06 patch notes, and the bundle date comes from Riot’s official trailer.
The Warden: a 2,900-Credit Rifle With a 2x Scope
The Warden joins the Vandal and Phantom in the 2,900-credit tier, and Riot pitches it as a long-range option. Official stats:
| Stat | Warden |
|---|---|
| Price | 2,900 credits |
| Scope | 2x |
| Magazine | 18 rounds |
| Reserve ammo | 36 |
| Body damage | 50 (at all ranges) |
| Head damage | 200 |
| Leg damage | 42 |
| Fire rate | 6.5 |
| Reload | 2.5 seconds |
| Equip time | 1.0 seconds (Fast 0.6, Instant 0.2) |
| Wall penetration | Medium |
The number that matters most is the 200 headshot damage. That is more than full health plus full armor (100 plus 50), so one headshot is enough to drop an enemy. To the body you need three bullets against full armor. The trade-off is ammo: 18 rounds per magazine and 54 in total make the Warden a poor choice for long sprays or holding off a multi-player rush.
Gauntlet: Glitched, a 2v2 Mode for 16 Players
Riot describes this limited-time mode as its most ambitious yet. How it works:
- 16 players in 8 duos. Each round you and your partner face another duo in a 2v2.
- Team health. Losing a round costs your team health. Hit zero and you are out, and you can leave and queue again right away instead of waiting for the other teams to finish.
- Stages. As the match moves forward, the weapons change and losses in later stages cost more health.
- Ability draft. Between rounds you pick from randomized abilities taken from different Agents, then either add a new one or level up one you already have, from Level 1 to Level 3. Rerolls let you chase a combo.
- Glitches. When an ability reaches Level 2 it has a small, random chance to “glitch” and behave differently. Riot’s two teasers: you decide when Raze’s Boom Bot explodes, and Gekko’s Wingman can grow really, really big.
- New arenas. Four arenas remix familiar VALORANT map spaces for 2v2 fights.
- Winner’s Circle. Duos who win their matchup wait above the four arenas and watch the other fights.
You can queue solo or with one friend. Riot has not announced when Gauntlet: Glitched ends. Retake leaves the mode rotation with this patch.
Agent Mastery: Per-Agent Levels and Rewards Bought With Kingdom Credits
Agent Mastery gives every Agent its own progression. Play Clove and you level Clove; play Sova and you level Sova.
- Mastery Points (MP) come from matches in supported modes. Wins and strong performances give bonus MP.
- Act Levels: 10 main levels per Act, reset at the start of every Act. Levels 4, 7 and 10 unlock Portrait Accents for your Agent portrait, and after level 10 you can keep going through overleveling.
- Lifetime Levels: permanent across Acts. Every Act Level you gain also adds one Lifetime Level.
- Reward Track: Lifetime Levels unlock access to each Agent’s rewards, which you buy with Kingdom Credits. The track mixes the old Agent Gear rewards with new ones, including Agent ID components.
Everyone starts at zero. Playtime and progress from before the patch do not carry over, but any Agent Gear rewards you already unlocked stay on your account.
Ranked: Performance Score Replaces ACS, Plus Accolades and Rank Legacy
| Feature | How it works |
|---|---|
| Performance Score | A 0 to 500 score that measures more than kills and damage. Used in Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay and Premier, and it now decides MVP and scoreboard order |
| Accolades | Track your personal bests per Act and across your career. Only earned in Competitive and Premier, and tracking starts with this patch (no historical data) |
| Rank Legacy | Counts how many times you have reached each rank. Each rank can raise its counter once every three Acts (Acts I to III, and Acts IV to VI). Demoting into a rank does not count |
| Range in queue | Enter the Range after you start matchmaking, or start matchmaking from inside the Range |
A few caveats on the Range feature: it does not work for Premier, Deathmatch or any mode without Agent Select. If the game expects a short queue, the Range option may not show up at first and becomes available again if the wait runs longer than expected.
Riot also shared numbers from its new boosting detection: about 1,600 accounts banned per day, or more than 90,000 accounts since July 20. Next on the roadmap are Map Rating and Mode Select updates in Patch 13.08, then Competitive Flex and updates for Radiant players in Patch 14.00.
New Look: Home and Lobby Merged
Home and Lobby are now a single hub where you can check Events, Missions, the active map pool and Leaderboards while keeping your party in view. Global navigation has been rebuilt, new items get a marker in your Collection, and the end-of-game screen now summarizes your performance, rewards and progress in Agent Mastery, Accolades and Performance Score in one place.
Riot lists two known issues: the threshold shown for the “Masterful” Accolade is wrong (a visual bug only, fixed next patch), and right after leaving a queue you may briefly be unable to enter the Range.
Champions 2026 “Frag or Die” Bundle: Contents and Price
According to the description of Riot’s official trailer on the VALORANT YouTube channel, Frag or Die includes a Phantom and a Fan melee with premium flourishes and a dynamic side-swap effect, and it is available in the store from September 22. The exact time it shows up can differ by region.
The side-swap effect changes the skins depending on which side you are playing. Tracker.gg and THESPIKE.GG describe a pearl white finish with gold accents on defense and black with gold accents on attack, along with a Sage and Viper themed finisher.
Riot did not list prices in its announcement. The figures below were reported by the VALORANT Leaks & News data account after the bundle went live on the NA, LATAM and BR servers, and by GameRiv:
