Dunshan HoK Release Date and Skills: The New Tower-Merging Support
Dunshan is the next new support hero coming to Honor of Kings global after Wang Wei, and his signature trick is unusual: he can merge with a tower, protecting and repairing it while attacking nearby enemies. As of Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 01:00 WIB (02:00 Malaysia and Singapore time), Dunshan’s global release date has not been announced. The official channels only say he “is arriving in the Gorge” and ask players to “stay tuned for the official debut”. Everything below comes from official Honor of Kings videos, the Season 16 patch notes and the hero page on the official Chinese Honor of Kings website run by Tencent.

That is three Dunshan promos in three days, yet none of them gives a date, a time or a price.
Dunshan’s Role and Playstyle From the Official Preview
In the Listen Up, Dev! S16 Hero Section video, the developers describe Dunshan as a support with “a truly unique skill that lets him carry teammates into battle”. His job changes with his partner:
- With a marksman, he “becomes a mobile artillery platform, protecting allies while maintaining constant pressure”.
- With a fighter or tank, he “can charge straight into battle and quickly disrupt the enemy’s formation”.
- With a tower, he “can even defend towers by merging with them, repairing the tower while attacking nearby enemies”.
- To start fights, he “can throw enemies back to initiate or use his huge shield to block incoming projectiles”.
The October 12 teaser shows that tower role in action: an enemy tries to sneak a tower push and is stopped by Dunshan holding the tower.
Dunshan’s Skills in the Chinese Version (盾山)
Dunshan is not new to the Chinese version of Honor of Kings. There he is called 盾山 with the title 无尽之盾 (roughly “Endless Shield”), and the official Tencent hero list files him under both support and tank. His official hero page lists four skills that match every ability shown in the global preview:

We are leaving out the Chinese damage, shield and cooldown numbers because the global version may differ, and the global skill names have not been published. The official Chinese lore also explains the repair theme: Dunshan is a giant machine that built the Great Wall, waking from a long sleep with a single command carved into its core: “修” (repair).
Why Dunshan Fits Season 16
The Season 16 patch notes already made towers tougher on September 23:

The same season added a healing dew mechanic for roamers: when a roamer picks up a healing dew, 60% of its effect is copied to the nearby hero with the lowest HP. With towers already sturdier early on, a support who can merge with and repair a tower could make tower dives even riskier for the attacking team.
When Is Dunshan Coming to HoK Global?
There is no official date yet. For comparison, Wang Wei was announced well ahead: his October 8 date was in the September 22 patch notes, and his Skill Tutorial video went up on October 3, five days before launch. For Dunshan, as of October 14 at 01:00 WIB there is neither a Skill Tutorial video nor a date in any patch notes. Watch the official Honor of Kings YouTube channel, the news page on honorofkings.com and in-game notices. Dates, prices or skill numbers from datamine sites are not official announcements.

In the Shop This Week: Fantastical Shop (Indonesia), October 13 to 19
The official HoK Indonesia channel announced the Bazaar Ajaib (tagged #FantasticalShop), open October 13 to 19, 2026. It offers skins, heroes, custom buttons and other items at random discounts of 20% to 50% according to the post text, although one card on the poster reads “up to 80% off”. Playing matches gives a chance to refresh your discount; a higher discount is kept and your item selection stays the same. The global channel has not posted about it, so check the shop on your own server. Dunshan’s price has not been announced. Honor of Kings Tokens are also listed on ItemGame’s Honor of Kings page, which only needs your User ID.
