Four new weapons arrive in Free Fire on Thursday, October 1, 2026, together with the start of the next Clash Squad season: the M7 (assault rifle), Skorp (SMG), RPK (light machine gun) and Hawk (a sniper rifle that carries only two rounds). In Battle Royale, the M7 and Hawk cost 400 FF Coins at the Vending Machine and the Skorp 100, while the CS Store charges 1,500 to 1,700 CS Cash. Everything below comes from Garena’s official global OB55 patch notes, checked against the Indonesian version.

When Do the New Free Fire Weapons Arrive?

OB55 has been live since September 16, but the new guns were held back for the next CS season. Landing on October 1:

  • Four new weapons: M7, Skorp, RPK and Hawk, in both Battle Royale (BR) and Clash Squad (CS).
  • Weapon class adjustments: SMGs gain mobility but lose range, assault rifles gain long-range accuracy with slightly slower reloads, snipers lose some mobility, and machine guns trade mobility for damage and rate of fire.
  • Two new BR random events: Airdrops? Meteors! (every regular airdrop falls as a meteor) and Black Friday (Vending Machines sell more items at a discount).

No release time is given. For Vending Machine prices, the global notes say “early October” and the Indonesian notes say October 1, so if the guns aren’t in the machine on day one, loot them first.

Official Traits of the M7, Skorp, RPK and Hawk

WeaponClassFire mode and recoilStrengths according to Garena
M7Assault rifleFully automatic. A new recoil system that pulls your aim upward while firing, instead of the bullet spread older guns useHigh damage, solid accuracy, built for mid to long range
SkorpSMGRecoil system similar to the M7High rate of fire and armor penetration, stays effective in the late game
RPKLight machine gunFully automatic with the new recoil systemMachine-gun firepower with assault-rifle mobility; versatile up close and still accurate at longer range with good recoil control
HawkSniper rifleOnly two rounds with a high rate of fire; the reticle rises when firing rapidlyBig burst damage: landing both shots in quick succession can instantly down enemies wearing low-tier armor

What Garena hasn’t published yet: damage numbers, magazine size (other than the Hawk’s two rounds), effective range and compatible attachments. As of September 27, the Weapons page on the official Free Fire site doesn’t list the four guns either. Unofficial stat numbers can’t be confirmed yet, so check the in-game weapon details once the update is live.

How to Get the New Weapons in Battle Royale

WeaponLoot locationsVending Machine
M7Ground loot (rare), high-tier blue zones, arsenals400 FF Coins, max 5 per match
SkorpGround loot, Weapon Racks, default weapon after a Super Revival100 FF Coins, no purchase limit
RPKGround loot, Weapon RacksNot listed
HawkGround loot, Weapon Racks400 FF Coins, max 5 per match

FF Coins are the coins you collect during a match, not diamonds. One source is the Coin Jar, a coin grenade that OB55 added to ground loot. At the Vending Machine, the AWM now costs 600 FF Coins with a limit of 3 per match, making the Hawk the more affordable sniper.

Quick tips:

  1. Check Vending Machines before you jump. Since OB55, Vending Machines and Revival Points show on the map while you’re still on the plane.
  2. Hunt the M7 in arsenals and high-tier blue zones. It’s rare as regular ground loot. Weapons can now also break arsenal glass, so you can get straight in.
  3. Use the Black Friday event. When it rolls, check the nearest Vending Machine. Garena doesn’t list which items get discounted.
  4. Keep the Skorp after a Super Revival. It’s your default weapon after one, and its armor penetration stays useful to the end.

New Weapon Prices in the Clash Squad Store

WeaponCS Store price
M71,600 CS Cash
Skorp1,500 CS Cash
RPK1,500 CS Cash
Hawk1,700 CS Cash

For comparison, the AWM drops from 2,200 to 2,100 CS Cash in this patch, so the Hawk is 400 cheaper.

Tips for Each Weapon

These tips are based on Garena’s official descriptions. With no stats out yet, try each gun in casual matches before ranked.

M7

The M7’s recoil steadily pulls your aim upward. Either drag your crosshair slightly down while firing to keep shots on the body, or start at the chest and let the pull carry shots to the head, as Garena suggests. If the Weapon Surge random event for assault rifles rolls (less spread or more armor penetration), that’s a good match for the M7.

Skorp

From October 1, SMGs become faster close-range weapons with shorter effective range. The Skorp has a high rate of fire and armor penetration, so it stays useful in the late game when enemies wear better armor. At 100 FF Coins with no limit, it’s a solid backup when early loot is poor. Its recoil system is similar to the M7’s, so you control it in much the same way.

RPK

The RPK suits pinning enemies down with sustained fire without giving up much mobility. For the machine gun class, Garena says damage is now the same standing or crouching, but firing while standing lowers accuracy and crouching gives maximum accuracy. The notes don’t confirm the RPK follows this rule in full, so test it: hold a position, crouch, and fire when enemies leave cover.

Hawk

With only two rounds, every Hawk shot needs a plan. Correct your aim for the second shot, since the reticle rises when you fire quickly. The Hawk is at its deadliest while enemies are still in low-tier armor. Pair it with an SMG or shotgun to finish survivors. Garena’s direction for snipers after October 1: use openings for big damage rather than quick peeks.

How It Ties Into the Free Fire x Naruto Shippuden Event

According to Garena’s official announcement, the collab runs from September 16 to October 15, 2026, giving about two weeks (October 1 to 15) of overlap with the new guns. During the collab, CS swaps round-one pistols for shuriken, sells ninjutsu and kunai in the CS Store, and turns Cyber Airdrops into Ninjutsu Scroll Airdrops, so your CS Cash gets split between the new guns and ninja gear.

For the Hinata or Jiraiya Pick-One Grand Prize, see our Free Fire x Naruto Shippuden guide. Garena hasn’t announced skins for the four new weapons yet.

Do You Need Diamonds?

You get the new weapons in the match as loot or with FF Coins and CS Cash, not diamonds. Diamonds are for cosmetics and events such as Luck Royale or the Booyah Pass. If you need some, Free Fire diamond top up on ItemGame only asks for your Player ID. Playing on a Malaysian account? Use the Free Fire Malaysia top up page instead.
