Maintenance compensation is 300 Primogems (60 per hour of downtime) for accounts at Adventure Rank 5 or above before maintenance begins. It arrives by in-game mail within 5 hours after maintenance ends. The mail expires after 30 days, and the compensation must be claimed before Version 7.2 ends.

Before you pull:
- The Mitya and Furina banners are Character Event Wish and Character Event Wish-2, so their pity is shared and kept separate from the weapon and standard banners.
- Valeriy joins the standard wish “Wanderlust Invocation” in the next version after this banner ends. Mitya and Furina stay event-exclusive.
- Epitomized Path lets you chart a course to either Starsealed Edict or Splendor of Tranquil Waters.
- As of November 2, official notices cover Phase I only, so any Phase II lineup is unconfirmed.
Mitya and Valeriy: Two New Electro Characters
HoYoverse introduces Mitya as an advisor to the Energy Commission and a genius energy scientist. In his official skill showcase, having Mitya in the party converts Cryo and Electro reactions into Stellar-Conduct reactions, which generate Gradient Beacons. Mitya carries up to 4 Beacons, his Elemental Burst adds 3 at once, and consuming Beacons deals AoE Electro damage counted as Stellar-Conduct reaction damage. He works off-field (tap E, and excess Beacons are consumed automatically) or on-field (hold E, then hold to consume Beacons). Valeriy is a Major of the Fatui Special Assignments Battalion. Official material describes him as an Electro user who provides support and buffs for the party.
The new Starsealed Edict (5-star Catalyst) has 542 Base ATK and 88.2% CRIT DMG at level 90. Its passive adds 24% CRIT DMG, grants Elemental Mastery after the wielder uses an Elemental Skill, and raises the CRIT DMG of Stellar-Conduct reactions, even while the wielder is off-field.
New Snezhnaya Areas and the Version 7.2 Archon Quest
Version 7.2 opens two new Snezhnaya areas: Novokitezhgrad, a city ruled by the fae, and Wingspan Peak. Parts of Wingspan Peak are engulfed by the Shadow Realm. After you finish the “An Ancient Song of Flowing Crystal and Stone Chests” quest chain, the Shadow Realm in the eastern part recedes and you can explore it with any characters. A new Statue of The Seven also unlocks for upgrading the Exaiphanes Blade.

The free 4-star options in The Grand Defense are Amber, Xiangling, Thoma, Collei, Lynette, Kachina, Aino, and Alyosha. The event requires Archon Quest Chapter VII: Act IV and unlocks as you progress through Act VI.
Version 7.2 also adds the “Encounter: Interlude of the Long Journey” album to Repertoire of Myriad Melodies (60 Primogems until December 15) and new Envisaged Echoes stages and Echo cosmetics for Xilonen and Yae Miko. New accounts registered after the 7.2 update can pick one 5-star from the standard wish within their first 42 days.
Quality-of-Life Changes in Genshin 7.2
- Specialty Tracking: tracking one Local Specialty makes the minimap prioritize its markers, as long as a party member can display nearby Local Specialties.
- Prime Ice Constructs: a new “Only Friends” option for sending and receiving, no more constructs around Statues of The Seven, Adventurers’ Guilds, blacksmiths, or Meeting Points, and the batch delete limit rises from 100 to 200.
- Ley Line Outcrops: select one on the map to preview the enemy lineup before you enter.
