Roblox Plus: How to Subscribe With a Gift Card and Send Robux
Roblox Premium stopped taking new subscribers on April 30, 2026. Its replacement is Roblox Plus, a USD 4.99 monthly subscription that gives you 10% to 20% off purchases, free private servers, and a feature Roblox has never offered before: sending Robux to friends with no fees. You can pay with Roblox Gift Card credit in a web browser, so no credit card is needed. Here is how to subscribe, how transfers and their limits work, and what changed on September 24, 2026, based on the official Roblox announcement and the Roblox Plus help page.
What Is Roblox Plus?
Roblox Plus is a monthly subscription that launched globally on April 30, 2026. The biggest difference from Premium: Plus does not include a monthly Robux stipend. If you still want Robux every month, Roblox offers Plus 500, Plus 1000 and Plus 2000 bundles, which combine the subscription with 500, 1,000 or 2,000 Robux each month.

Discounts don’t apply to items over 1 million Robux, resold items, ads credit, UGC publishing fees or group fees. Per Roblox’s creator documentation, if you cancel and resubscribe, the discount resets to 10% and rises again after two months.
Roblox Plus vs Premium
Existing Premium members can keep their membership, but once they cancel, they can’t subscribe again. Since May 30, 2026, Premium has also lost its 10% bonus on Robux purchases and its logo.

Plus and Premium can be active on the same account, so Premium members don’t have to cancel to try Plus.
How to Subscribe to Roblox Plus With a Gift Card
Roblox accepts credit or debit cards, PayPal and gift card credit on the web, plus App Store and Google Play. The gift card route needs no credit card:
- Get a Roblox Gift Card, not a Robux code. A gift card adds Roblox Credit, while a Robux code turns straight into Robux. Robux isn’t among the payment methods Roblox lists for Plus.
- Open roblox.com/redeem in a web browser and log in to the account that will subscribe. The standard Roblox mobile app and consoles can’t redeem codes, except the app on Samsung Galaxy devices (More, then Redeem).
- Enter the code and click Redeem. Your balance appears as Available Credit under the Redeem button.
- Buy Roblox Plus from the same redeem page. Roblox says Plus can be purchased with gift card credit directly from this page.
- Check your subscription under Settings > Subscriptions, which shows the renewal date, expiration date and payment method.
Before you redeem, keep these in mind:
- Credit can only be used in a browser, and you can’t split one purchase between credit and a card. Make sure your credit covers the full price shown.
- Under Roblox’s Indonesian terms, a rupiah card becomes rupiah credit and doesn’t expire. Codes work worldwide, and the value converts to your account’s local currency, for example on a Malaysian account.
- Plus can’t be transferred to another account and isn’t refundable. Check the username before you pay.
- Plus isn’t sold in the Samsung Galaxy Store version of the app, on Quest or on consoles.

How to Send Robux to Friends With Roblox Plus
The full rules are on the Sending and Receiving Robux help page. In short:
Who can send and receive Robux
- The sender must be subscribed to Roblox Plus. The recipient doesn’t need to be.
- Users aged 16 and over must complete an Age Check.
- Users under 16 need a linked parent account, and a parent must approve every transfer they send or receive.
- Some regions still require parental approval up to age 18 because of local regulations. Roblox doesn’t list which regions.
These rules are looser than at launch, when Roblox required users to be age-checked and 18+ to transfer without parental approval.
How to send Robux
- Open your friend’s profile, or go to the Buy Robux page.
- Enter the amount and select Continue.
- Review the transfer details, especially the recipient’s name.
- Select Send.
Transfers are final and can’t be reversed. Roblox will never ask you to send Robux to another user to verify your account, so any such request is a scam.

These limits may change. You turn on 2-Step Verification under Settings, Security tab, and you need a verified email address first.
Some games add their own transfer button. Per Roblox’s creator documentation, an in-game transfer gives 10% to the game and 90% to the recipient, with 10 to 500 Robux per transaction. To deliver the full amount, send from the profile or Buy Robux page.
How to receive Robux
The recipient gets a pending transfer notification and selects Accept. The Robux arrives instantly and shows in My Transactions. If age requirements aren’t met, it’s held under Pending Robux and returned to the sender after 7 days. Transferred Robux can only be spent on Roblox and isn’t eligible for DevEx.
September 24 Change: One Free Private Server per Game
At launch, Plus promised free and unlimited private servers. From September 24, 2026, the benefit became one free private server per game. Extra free servers in the same game started expiring that day; servers you bought separately aren’t affected. If creating a new server shows an error, deactivate your existing free server in that game first.
Tips Before You Subscribe
- Look at how you spend. A 10% discount only adds up if you buy items or game passes regularly. If you only need Robux, a Robux code is more direct.
- Don’t let it lapse. The 20% discount needs three consecutive months.
- Cancel before the renewal date in Settings > Subscriptions: tap the arrow (>), then Cancel Renewal. Benefits last until the paid period ends. If a renewal fails, Roblox retries for 72 hours before cancelling.
Gift Card or Robux Code?
The ItemGame Roblox page for Indonesia and Malaysia has two kinds of code: Robux codes that add Robux directly, and Roblox Gift Cards (IDR) that become account credit. For Roblox Plus, pick a gift card and redeem it in a browser. For items, or for sending Robux once subscribed, a Robux code is enough. You redeem both yourself, so you never share your password.
