Roblox The Hollow Event Oct 22, 2026: Official Info Before Halloween
Roblox’s next platform-wide event is called The Hollow and starts on Thursday, October 22, 2026. Roblox revealed the name and date in a 29-second teaser on its official channels on October 10, with the line “you’ve met them before. but not like this.” As of October 15, Roblox has not announced a start time, an end date, the list of games, or the rewards. Below: the official facts, the likely start time in Southeast Asia, past event formats, and the account settings that decide whether you (or your child) can join.
Roblox The Hollow: Official Schedule So Far
| Date (WIB / Malaysia and Singapore time) | What happened |
|---|---|
| October 10, 23:42 WIB / October 11, 00:42 | The The Hollow teaser went live on Roblox’s official YouTube channel, ending with the logo and the date 10.22.26 |
| October 22 | The Hollow begins; start time not announced |
| Not announced | End date, participating games, rewards |
The teaser shows no gameplay. It is a sequence of dark silhouettes against red light: pointed shapes, a large claw, a long object resting on cracked ground and a head with round ears, then a glowing red circle before the logo appears. Roblox has not said who “them” refers to. Game lists circulating on news sites and leaker accounts are unconfirmed leaks.
The Hollow Start Time in WIB and Malaysia Time
The teaser only says 10.22.26, the US month.day.year format, with no time. Roblox usually announces times in Pacific Time (PT). On October 22, Pacific Time is still on PDT (UTC-7), which is 14 hours behind WIB and 15 hours behind Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.
For reference, the last platform event, The Hunt: Roblox 20, opened to Roblox Plus subscribers at 9 AM PT and to everyone at 3 PM PT on September 17. If The Hollow follows the same times (not confirmed), the conversion looks like this:
| Access (The Hunt pattern) | Pacific Time | WIB (Indonesia) | Malaysia / Singapore / Philippines |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plus early access | Oct 22, 9:00 AM | Oct 22, 11:00 PM | Oct 23, 12:00 AM |
| General launch | Oct 22, 3:00 PM | Oct 23, 5:00 AM | Oct 23, 6:00 AM |
On that pattern, the event would open for everyone in Southeast Asia on the morning of Friday, October 23. Last year, Roblox published the full Halloween Spotlight details on its newsroom only on the event’s first day, October 23, 2025, so watch official channels on October 22 and 23 for how The Hollow works.
What Past Roblox Events Looked Like
The last two platform events followed a similar structure: one hub as the entry point, portals into many creator-made games, quests inside each game, and exclusive avatar items as rewards.
| Halloween Spotlight 2025 | The Hunt: Roblox 20 | |
|---|---|---|
| Dates | October 23 to November 3, 2025 | September 17 to 28, 2026 |
| Entry point | The Cursed Clearing hub | A hub with portals to games from each year of Roblox history |
| Number of games | More than 30 | 20 games, plus 20 more in Year Infinity |
| Progress | Quests award runes (regular paths) and keys (harder elite paths) | One quest per era to move to the next year |
| Rewards | Exclusive avatar items; the event ends after beating the Final Curse | UGC items and a leaderboard |
| Subscriber bonus | Not mentioned | Plus: early access, three exclusive items, keeps the Classic theme after the event |
Halloween Spotlight 2025 was not all heavy horror. According to Roblox’s official announcement, the lineup included Adopt Me, Dress to Impress, Restaurant Tycoon 3 and PETAPETA: School of Nightmares, each with a Halloween-themed update. Whether The Hollow uses a similar format has not been confirmed.
Who Can Play: Roblox Kids, Roblox Select and Game Ratings
Access to event games depends on your account type and each game’s content rating. According to the help article Understanding Age Checks on Roblox, updated October 12, 2026, accounts that have not completed an age check use the age entered at sign-up: under 9 goes into Roblox Kids, 9 and older goes into Roblox Select, both with chat off.
| Age group | Account type | Games available |
|---|---|---|
| Under 9 | Roblox Kids | Minimal or Mild games that passed the Roblox Kids catalog selection |
| 9 to 12 | Roblox Select | Age-appropriate games, including Moderate |
| 13 to 15 | Roblox Select | Age-appropriate games, with more features |
| 16 to 17 | Roblox | All games except 18+, including Content May Vary |
| 18 and over | Roblox | All games and features |
An age check, by facial age estimation or ID verification (13 and older only), is needed for chat, for games outside the Roblox Kids and Roblox Select catalog, and for games rated Content May Vary. In some regions, facial age estimation needs parental approval.
On scary content, Roblox’s official labels separate Minimal (occasional mild fear), Mild (repeated mild fear) and Moderate (moderate fear). Parents with a linked account can go to Settings > Parental controls, pick the child’s account, then Content restrictions to set the maturity level, block games, or approve specific games under Allowed games. A child can also send a request for a single game, and the parent picks Allow or Don’t Allow.
Event Items Never Come From “Free Robux” Sites
In the last two events, exclusive items were earned by completing quests inside participating games, not from outside websites. Rules of thumb from Roblox’s official help pages:
- Any offer of free Robux, subscriptions or valuable items is a scam, whether it comes from a person, a video, a website or a game.
- Official Roblox promotions are announced on the Roblox blog, in the Notifications tab of Messages, or in a banner at the top of the site.
- Only enter your password on the roblox.com login page or in the official apps. If a game asks for login details, leave and use Report Abuse.
- Roblox employees never ask for your password, browser cookies, 2-Step Verification codes or backup codes.
Turn on 2-Step Verification under Settings, Security tab. It needs a verified email, and Roblox recommends the Authenticator App method.
Checklist Before October 22
- Check your account type under Settings > Account info. To chat with friends during the event, complete an age check first, with a parent’s permission for players under 18.
- Parents: link accounts and set Content restrictions before the event starts, so game requests from your child can be answered quickly.
- Turn on 2-Step Verification and make sure the email on the account belongs to you or your parent.
- Roblox Plus subscribers: in The Hunt, Plus got early access and three exclusive items. Plus perks for The Hollow have not been announced. How to subscribe is covered in our Roblox Plus guide.
- Watch official channels on October 22 and 23: the Roblox newsroom, Roblox’s YouTube channel, and notifications on your account.
If you plan to buy a game pass or avatar item during the event, ask a parent first. Robux vouchers are listed on the Roblox page at ItemGame, and you redeem the code yourself at roblox.com/redeem in a browser, without sharing your password.
