Free Fire’s next event is The Unseen, and according to Garena’s global announcement it starts on Friday, October 16, 2026, one day after the NARUTO SHIPPUDEN collaboration ends on October 15. It is a horror-themed event in two parts: exploring a haunted manor from the event menu while recording strange events with a DV camera, and entering the Hidden Side in Battle Royale and Clash Squad matches with a Reveal Mask. Below is everything Garena has shown as of October 14, plus what is still unannounced.

No official source lists an end date yet. Garena Free Fire Indonesia has not posted a date either; its teaser for the next update uses the hashtag #DUNIAMISTIS (“mystic world”), tagged with #FreeFire and #FreeFireMAX. Garena Indonesia has not confirmed that this is The Unseen’s local name, so the event may carry a different name in the Indonesian menu.

The Unseen Manor: DV Camera, Album, and the Panic Bar

The first part is played from the event screen, outside matches. In Kelly Show, players are invited to step inside the manor and investigate. At each major checkpoint you search the rooms and use your DV camera to capture the eerie events around you.

What the official video shows on the event screen:

• An Observe button for recording, costing 50 mask-shaped tokens in the footage.
• A Daily Tasks button, with a “Tokens remaining” counter right above it.
• A PANIC bar on the right with chest icons at several points. The point values differ between two clips (100 to 500, then 20 to 400), so wait for the final numbers in game.
• An Album with 22 recordings: an Event Album (5) from the manor and an In-Match Album (17) from matches. Collecting all 22 unlocks a title; its name is cut off in the video and reads “Seen the Unsee…”.

Garena also tells players to come back to the manor often for unexpected surprises, and recordings can be replayed in the Album.

The Hidden Side in Battle Royale: How to Enter and What You Get

In Battle Royale, the Hidden Side darkens the sky and reveals terrifying creatures in the distance. Garena says strange disturbances may appear anywhere across every map; the footage uses Bermuda.

To enter, pick up a Reveal Mask. While in the Hidden Side, your character takes a masked form, gains buffs such as higher movement speed, and can see strange sightings hidden from the normal world (called “the Surface”). Interacting with them gives you special event supplies.

The in-match mission panel sums up the four core mechanics:

Doll Mode in Duo and Squad

In Duo and Squad, if a teammate is still alive when you are eliminated, you return as a doll and stay in the action. Dolls move faster, jump higher, and can see the Hidden Side. You can roam near your teammates or teleport to one and follow along, grant random buffs, pin locations, and use a special emote to cheer them on. In practice, the first player to fall still has a job as a scout.

Mask Marks After Eliminations

After an elimination, a tiny mask or eerie mark may appear behind the player who scored it. Only players inside the Hidden Side can see it, which makes the Hidden Side useful for reading who just fought nearby.

The Unseen in Clash Squad

In Clash Squad, Reveal Masks also take you into the Hidden Side. In the official footage, the Reveal Mask sits in the Hayato’s Armory store for 100 in-match coins, described as: obtain a Reveal Mask and use it to enter masked form and the Hidden Side, gaining better movement speed and jump height. Selected weapons in Clash Squad get the same new mechanics as in Battle Royale.

Strange Weapons: New Mechanics, Names Not Announced

Garena only says that “some strange weapons” are gaining new mechanics and asks players to try them out. Neither the trailer nor Kelly Show names the weapons or their exact effects, so weapon lists circulating outside official channels cannot be confirmed yet.

The Unseen Rewards and Bundles: What Is Official

The event screen in the official video shows three icons on the left named Revenge G36, Unseen Claws, and Awaken the Unseen, plus the Album title. Garena has not explained what those icons contain, whether they are free, or how many diamonds they cost.

Bundle names such as “Unseen Custodian” are being searched a lot, but as of October 14 they do not appear in the trailer, Kelly Show, or the official Free Fire website. How to Prepare Before October 16

2. Open Daily Tasks every day. Observe costs tokens, and the token counter on the event screen sits on that button.
3. Play Duo or Squad with friends so Doll Support comes into play.
4. In Clash Squad, keep 100 in-match coins aside if you want a Reveal Mask from Hayato’s Armory.
5. Recheck names, numbers, and rewards in the event menu on October 16, since details in the footage can change at launch.
