GTA 6 Characters and Map: Jason, Lucia, and Leonida's 6 Regions
GTA 6 has two lead characters, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and the whole story takes place in Leonida, a fictional US state that contains Vice City and the land around it. On its official Only in Leonida page, Rockstar introduces eight character profiles (nine people, since Real Dimez is a duo) and six regions: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga. Everything below comes from official Rockstar material checked on October 13, 2026, with no leaks. GTA 6 is scheduled for Thursday, November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, the GTA 6 Protagonists
The official description sets up the story: Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. When an easy score goes wrong, they land in a criminal conspiracy stretching across Leonida and must rely on each other to survive.
Jason Duval
Jason grew up around grifters and crooks. After an Army stint meant to shake off his troubled teens, he ended up in the Keys working for local drug runners. He wants an easy life, but things keep getting harder. Brian Heder lets him live rent-free in one of his properties as long as he helps with local shakedowns. Meeting Lucia, Rockstar writes, could be the best or worst thing that ever happened to him.
Lucia Caminos
Lucia’s father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk. Fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary, and sheer luck got her out. Her mom has dreamed of a better life since their days in Liberty City, and Lucia now plans to make it happen herself. A life with Jason could be her way out.
A small detail from the official edition material: Jason carries a Girardi ES9 pistol and drives a well-worn Vapid Ganado pickup, while Lucia’s pistol is a Klose K17.
GTA 6 Supporting Characters: the Keys, the Music Scene, and a Heist Crew
Brian Heder and Cal Hampton
Brian is a drug runner from the golden age of smuggling in the Keys. He still moves product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori, and lets others do his dirty work. Cal, Jason’s friend and another Brian associate, feels safest at home snooping on Coast Guard comms with a few beers. Rockstar says he is at the low tide of America and happy there, while Jason has bigger plans.
Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, and Real Dimez
Boobie turned his street years into a legitimate empire: real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio. He is most invested in his partnership with Dre’Quan at Only Raw Records, and Rockstar says they just need a hit. Dre’Quan was always more hustler than gangster; even while dealing to make ends meet, music was the goal. He has signed Real Dimez, Bae-Luxe and Roxy, who turned shaking down local dealers into cash through rap tracks and social media. An early hit with local rapper DWNPLY made their name, and after five years of trouble they joined Only Raw Records.
Raul Bautista
Raul is a confident, charming, cunning bank robber always hunting for talent willing to take big risks. His recklessness raises the stakes with every score, so sooner or later his crew must double down or walk away.
Other names in official material
- Wyman: eccentric collector and local fixer behind a classic car hunt (Ultimate Edition).
- PTT Youngin$: a Southside Vice City gang whose compound you can raid (Ultimate Edition).
- Macca the Gator: star of a hit Leonida TV show, featured on official merchandise.
GTA 6 Map: the State of Leonida and Its 6 Regions
| Region | Rockstar’s description | Details mentioned |
|---|---|---|
| Vice City | Still the sun and fun capital of America, long after the ’80s | Ocean Beach art deco hotels, Little Cuba panaderías, Tisha-Wocka flea market, VC Port (“cruise ship capital of the world”) |
| Leonida Keys | A tropical archipelago where life is easy, not flashy | Beach bars, scuba diving, boat parties, beautiful but dangerous waters |
| Grassrivers | “The untamable jewel of Leonida’s crown” | Gators, mangroves, deadlier predators, airboats |
| Port Gellhorn | “Leonida’s forgotten coast” | Cheap motels, shut-down attractions, empty strip malls, dirt bikes |
| Ambrosia | The industrial heart of Leonida | Allied Crystal sugar refinery, a local biker gang |
| Mount Kalaga | A national park on the state’s northern border | Hunting, fishing, off-road trails, backwoods residents avoiding the government |
Edition descriptions also name Shore Drive, Washington Beach, Gambit Bay, Watson Bay, Stockyard (Stock 305 and Electric Fang Tattoo), Lake Leonida, and Southside Vice City. Liberty City appears only as Lucia’s former home, not as a map region.
Where Is the GTA 6 Map, and How Big Is It?
- Location: Leonida is fictional. Rockstar calls it “the sunniest place in America” and “the Goodtime State” and never equates it with a real state in the material we checked.
- Size: Rockstar has not listed a map size on its official site as of October 13, 2026. Figures circulating online did not come from Rockstar.
- Official map: the GTA VI site has no interactive map. The only full Leonida map Rockstar mentions is printed on a souvenir poster in The Goodtime State, Vice City Collection set.
