GTA 6 on PC, PS4, Android, or Xbox One? Official Platforms at Launch
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 only on PS5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S. As of October 13, 2026, Rockstar Games and Take-Two have not announced a PC version, the game will not run on PS4, and official pages list no Xbox One, Android, iOS, or cloud gaming version. Any “GTA 6 APK”, “GTA 6 demo”, or “GTA 6 PC download” you see right now is fake, and several have already been shown to carry malware.

The clearest evidence is Take-Two’s first-quarter results from August 7, 2026: its release schedule lists GTA VI only for “PS5, Xbox Series X|S”, while NBA 2K27 in the same table includes PC and Switch 2. The June 24, 2026 pre-order press release names the same two platforms. The physical edition holds a download code and goes on sale November 12, 2026, so buyers can pre-load too.
GTA 6 on PC: Not Announced, and What Take-Two Said
As of October 13, 2026, there is no GTA 6 PC version, no official Steam page, and no PC system requirements from Rockstar. The “GTA 6 PC minimum requirements” lists going around are not from Rockstar, so do not plan a PC upgrade around them.
The official reasoning came from Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick in a Bloomberg interview in early May 2026, quoted by VICE and HotHardware. Zelnick said Rockstar “always starts on console” because a release like this is judged by how well it serves the core audience, and if that core is not “served first and best”, you “kind of don’t hit your other consumers.” He gave no date or year for a PC version.
Rockstar’s history does show PC versions arriving later, but that is not a schedule for GTA 6:

Can You Play GTA 6 on PS4 or Xbox One?
No. The FAQ on the PlayStation GTA VI page says GTA VI will only be playable on PS5 consoles and will not be available for PS4. That includes PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim, which are still PS4 consoles.
On Xbox, the GTA VI listing in the Microsoft Store shows only Xbox Series X|S under “Play with”, and its install terms say the game installs on your home Xbox console. Xbox One does not appear anywhere: not in the Microsoft Store, on Rockstar’s site, or in Take-Two’s filings.

Rockstar’s GTA VI site carries a “Plays Best On PlayStation 5” badge, but Rockstar, Sony, and Microsoft have not published resolution, frame rate, or download size figures for any console. Any “PS5 vs PS5 Pro vs Series S” fps comparison you see is unconfirmed. Both the PlayStation and Xbox listings describe GTA VI as a single-player experience.
GTA 6 Cloud Gaming and Playing on Your Phone
The Microsoft Store listing shows only “Single player” and “Optimized for Xbox Series X|S”, with no cloud gaming. The PlayStation page lists Remote Play, not cloud streaming. PC-based cloud services cannot run it either, because there is no PC version.
The only official way to play GTA 6 on a phone is PS Remote Play from your own PS5. The game still runs on the console and is streamed to your phone. Requirements from the official PS Remote Play page:
- A PS5 connected to the internet, plus the free PS Remote Play app on your device.
- Android 9 or later for touch controls, Android 10 or later for DUALSHOCK 4, Android 12 or later for DualSense. iPhone and iPad need iOS 14 or later.
- At least 5 Mbps; PlayStation recommends at least 15 Mbps. Mobile data counts against your plan.
- PlayStation Portal also works, but only by streaming from a PS5.
Watch Out for Fake GTA 6 APKs, Demos, and PC Downloads
Rockstar has never announced or released a GTA 6 demo, beta, or Android version. As of October 13, 2026, the Rockstar Games developer page on Google Play lists older games such as GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories, and Chinatown Wars, and no GTA VI. Three security vendor reports show what fake offers actually deliver:
- Malwarebytes (August 24, 2026): a network of sites impersonating Rockstar showed up in “GTA 6 demo” searches. Their “Play Now” button downloads
gta6_installer.exe, about 1.1 MB, which is the Vidar infostealer. It grabs saved passwords, cookies, and logged-in sessions from 19 browsers, and stolen sessions can sometimes be reused without a password or 2FA prompt. - Huntress (September 9, 2026): fake “leaked GTA 6” ISO files spread through SEO poisoning, gaming forums, social media, and torrents. Some exceed 100 GB, padded mostly with junk data. The analyzed sample bundled several RATs, an infostealer, and ransomware used to destroy files.
- Kaspersky (July 9, 2026): fake pre-order sites copy the official look, including a fake PlayStation Store page with fabricated five-star reviews, then ask for personal and card details. It also found “GTA 6 beta download” videos and a crypto token with a name resembling the game’s. Kaspersky’s earlier report on games popular with Gen Z ranked GTA first among titles used to disguise malicious files: 4,456,499 detections from April 2024 to March 2025.
Signs of a Fake GTA 6 Offer
- It offers a GTA 6
.apk,.exe, ISO, “repack”, or “beta key”. All fake, because there is no Android or PC version. - The file size makes no sense: far too small for an AAA game, or hundreds of GB of filler.
- It asks you to log in to Rockstar, PlayStation, or Xbox on a site that is not an official domain.
- It sells “pre-orders” or “early access” outside official console stores and trusted retailers.
If You Already Ran a Fake File
Huntress and Malwarebytes advise: disconnect the device, scan it with up-to-date security software, then change passwords from a clean device, starting with your main email, then banking and gaming accounts. Use “sign out everywhere” or revoke active sessions, because a new password does not always kill stolen sessions. Turn on 2FA, and reinstall the system if needed. Playing on PS5 with an Indonesian Account
GTA 6 is a game for adults; PlayStation notes that GTA games are generally not recommended for children.
