All four quarterfinals ran at the same time and none went to a third game. Scores are from the official Asian Games 2026 results system, where all four are marked official, and match the bracket graphic posted by the official HoK Esports account. Quarterfinals were best-of-three with standard ban and pick.
China 2-0 Indonesia
According to the draft records on Liquipedia, China banned Ukyo Tachibana in game one, a hero Indonesia had played twice in the group stage. Indonesia went with Fatih, Kaizer, Mai Shiranui, Chano and Lapulapu against China’s Charlotte, Ata, Yuhuan, Shouyue and Zhang Fei.
Game two was the more telling draft. China took Dharma, Ukyo Tachibana, Xiao Qiao and Kui, all four of them heroes Indonesia used in their 2-0 win over Thailand that morning, and added Marco Polo. Indonesia answered with Charlotte, Musashi, Yuhuan, Fuzi and Da Qiao, but the game was over in 9 minutes 42 seconds. Game one’s length had not been recorded on Liquipedia at the time of writing.
Philippines Sweep South Korea
The Philippines, known as Sibol, were the only group runners-up to beat a group winner in the quarterfinals, sweeping Group C winners South Korea 2-0. Head coach Gerald Gelacio told Tiebreaker Times the team played very clean, while warning that China are a powerhouse they cannot underestimate. Malaysia beat Myanmar 2-0 and Hong Kong beat Laos 2-0; Hong Kong have not dropped a single game all tournament.

If Malaysia and the Philippines both win, the final is a rematch of Sunday’s Group B game that Malaysia won 2-1. A China vs Malaysia final would repeat the Hangzhou 2022 gold medal match. At the time of writing, around 00:30 WIB on Monday, the semifinals had not started.
No Bronze Medal Match
The official schedule has no third-place match. The results system marks both semifinals as medal matches, the same setup as other esports events at Aichi-Nagoya 2026: in Pokémon UNITE on Sunday, both losing semifinalists (South Korea and the Philippines) received bronze. Tiebreaker Times also reported that the Philippines are assured of at least a bronze. In other words, all four semifinalists will medal, including Southeast Asia’s Malaysia and the Philippines.

Matches 1 to 6 are today at 07:00, 07:50, 08:40, 10:15, 11:05 and 11:55 WIB, and the official schedule marks match 12 on Tuesday as the medal match. Indonesia also play Identity V group games against Chinese Taipei at 07:00 WIB and Thailand at 08:30 WIB. The MLBB team starts on Tuesday, September 29, against Malaysia at 07:00 WIB and Saudi Arabia at 10:50 WIB.
