MLBB Free Skins 2026: Random Special Skin Chest From 16 October
From Friday, 16 October to Sunday, 8 November 2026, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang gives every player one random Special skin out of 10 for free through the Random Special Skin Chest. The event appears in the official October Events Overview graphic posted by the global MLBB account on 4 October and in the official “Exciting October Events” video. It is one of eight free skins in the 10th Anniversary lineup, and as of 14 October three other events are still open: Chou “Starforger’s Glory” until 25 October, Nana “Stardust Dreamer” plus two Epic chests until 1 November, and Layla “Prismatic Rhythm” (Collector) until 19 November.
MLBB Random Special Skin Chest: What Is Confirmed
| Item | Official info as of 14 October 2026 |
|---|---|
| Dates | Friday, 16 October to Sunday, 8 November 2026 (24 days, counting both ends) |
| Reward | 1 Special-tier skin, picked at random from 10 |
| Cost | Free, labelled “Free Random Special Skin” |
| Event name and claim conditions | Not stated in official material yet |
| The 10 skins | Shown as portraits only, with no hero or skin names |
With a Random Special Skin Chest you do not pick: the system hands you one of the 10 Special skins in the pool.
The official graphic and video show all 10 portraits but do not name them, so we are not guessing the pool. Moonton has also not said whether the chest is a login reward, a task reward or something else, or what happens if you already own the skin you roll. Every date is given without a time or time zone, and the source is the global account, so the event tab name on your server may differ. Once the event opens on 16 October, read the in-game event description before claiming.
MLBB Free Skins You Can Still Claim
Sorted by end date, based on the 4 October graphic and the official 10th Anniversary Exclusive Event short, which counts “8 free skins” in total.
| Skin or reward | Tier | Dates | Official route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chou “Starforger’s Glory” | Special | 18 Sep to Sunday, 25 Oct | Join the anniversary event, claim in game |
| Nana “Stardust Dreamer” | Epic | 4 Sep to Sunday, 1 Nov | Exchange coins in the Celebration Battle Pass Event Shop |
| Epic Skin Selection Chest | Epic, pick 1 of 10 | 4 Sep to 1 Nov | 10th Anniversary Celebration Battle Pass |
| Random Epic Skin Chest | Epic, random 1 of 15 | 4 Sep to 1 Nov | 10th Anniversary Celebration Battle Pass |
| Random Special Skin Chest | Special, random 1 of 10 | Friday, 16 Oct to Sunday, 8 Nov | Conditions not announced |
| Layla “Prismatic Rhythm” | Collector | 9 Oct to Thursday, 19 Nov | Layla’s Stellar Gala event |
Counting from 14 October, Chou has 11 days left. If your Battle Pass progress is short of Nana, finish it before 1 November, since both Epic chests sit in the same pass. Our first look at the anniversary rewards is in the MLBB 10th Anniversary free skins guide from September.
How to Get Layla Prismatic Rhythm for Free
Steps for Layla’s Stellar Gala (9 October to 19 November), from the official video and posts:
- Complete Regular Tasks and challenge tasks to collect Stellar Cores.
- Stellar Cores fill the purification progress bar. When it is full, the Layla “Prismatic Rhythm” Collector skin unlocks for free.
- Play the Starfall Breakout mini game for extra Stellar Cores. Layla fires at meteors automatically, Power-up Orbs unlock 16 buffs, a fully charged Stellar Blaster clears the screen in one shot, and you have 3 lives.
- Chase high scores: the official MLBB account says high scores and leaderboard ranks earn Stellar Cores and unlock the skin faster.
Official material does not give the number of Stellar Cores needed, so watch the progress bar. Moonton’s 4 September press release also lists a free trial of skins and emblems from 9 October to 12 November.
Nana Stardust Dreamer and Two Epic Chests: Deadline 1 November
The 10th Anniversary Celebration Battle Pass Event Shop opened for exchanges on 25 September. Complete tasks to collect 10th Anniversary Celebration Coins, then exchange them for Nana “Stardust Dreamer”. According to the official MLBB account, the same shop also offers an Anniversary Customization Item Random Chest, a 10th Anniversary Team Banner, a Random Resplendent Dragonshard Chest, a Battle Emote and a Large Emblem Pack.
The pass also includes an Epic Skin Selection Chest (pick 1 of 10) and a Random Epic Skin Chest (random 1 of 15). Over the same period, A Decade of Legends hands out free items for meeting set requirements; the official graphic does not list those requirements.
Chou Starforger’s Glory: Deadline 25 October
The official MLBB account says Chou “Starforger’s Glory” is free for joining the anniversary event until 25 October, and the official poster reads “Free Anniversary Limited Skin 09/18 - 10/25”. The skin is Special tier with a 10th badge and is the first of the remaining free skins to expire.
MLBB Free Skin Events That Have Ended
- Anniversary Gala Weekend: the event page opened on 25 September, but the pick of 1 out of 265 skins (including 50 Epic skins), the “Festive Flare” animated emote and the Battle Pass EXP ran only from 9 to 11 October.
- Returning Anniversary Skin: a choice of Miya “Moon Priestess” or Johnson “Starblazer”, 11 September to 11 October.
- Gala Weekend Battle Privileges: free trial of all heroes and 300 skins, 9 to 12 October.
No extension has been announced. Offline, Moonton marked the anniversary with events in Surabaya (9 to 11 October), Kuching (9 to 11 October) and Taguig, Metro Manila (8 to 11 October), according to its press releases of 11 and 13 October.
New Paid Skins Running at the Same Time
The Aspirants Unite draw event for Selena “Silverbolt Raiko” and Obsidia “Imperatrix Arashi” runs from 9 October to Saturday, 7 November. The Zilong Ascendant of Flame skin launches on 16 October at 50% off until 29 October, per the on-screen text in its official video. If you want diamonds ready for either one, you can top up Mobile Legends diamonds on ItemGame with your User ID and Zone ID.
Official Bonus: Link Your Email for a Random Skin Pack
On 4 October the official MLBB account reminded players that the first email linked to an account becomes the key recovery credential, and that linking an email earns a Random Skin Pack. More account protection steps are in our guide to securing your Mobile Legends account.
Every free skin here is claimed from the in-game event menu; none of the official material we checked mentions redeem codes, draw links or third-party apps.
