The six MPL ID S18 playoff teams are locked in after Week 8 ended on Sunday, 11 October 2026: NAVI, Team Liquid ID (TLID), Alter Ego, Bigetron by Vitality, EVOS and ONIC. Dewa United, Geek Fam and RRQ Hoshi are eliminated. NAVI moved top (11-3) with a 2-0 win over TLID, so Week 9 on 16 to 18 October only decides seeding, closing with ONIC vs TLID on Sunday, 18 October at 20.00 WIB (21.00 SGT/MYT/PHT). Week 8 Talking Points: NAVI Go Top, Dewa Lose Three

NAVI swept TLID 2-0 on 8 October. Jungler Joshuaa went 7/1/5 and 11/5/4 on Aulus, and game 1 ended 15-5 in kills. On 9 October NAVI beat Dewa 2-0 on kill counts of 14-3 and 15-3, with Joshuaa posting 11/2/1 on Hirara. NAVI are 4-0 in games against TLID this season.

TLID bounced back with a 2-0 over RRQ Hoshi, and Liquipedia credits gold laner Keven with a savage (five kills in a row) on Cici in game 2.

Alter Ego ended a three-match losing streak with a 2-0 over Bigetron, winning game 1 despite trailing 14-19 in kills.

EVOS beat Dewa and ONIC 2-1, then lost 0-2 to Geek Fam on 11 October, with Geek Fam jungler Maykidss going 11/1/1 on Fanny in game 2.

ONIC lost 1-2 to EVOS and beat RRQ 2-1, with Kairi going 8/0/6 and 8/0/5 on Nolan in their two wins. Bigetron beat Dewa 2-0, leaving Dewa winless in Week 8.

MPL ID S18 Playoff Teams and the Race for the Top Two

We checked all 65,536 possible scorelines of the eight remaining matches. ONIC are safe because Dewa and Geek Fam can reach 6 wins at most, and only if ONIC lose twice. Even then, ONIC’s worst game difference (-5) beats Dewa’s best (-8) and Geek Fam’s (-6). RRQ can reach only 5 wins, so they are out.

Under the format listed on Liquipedia, seeds 1 and 2 get a bye to round 2 and seeds 3 to 6 play a single-elimination round 1 (3 vs 6, 4 vs 5). What each team needs:

NAVI lock a top-two seed with one win (RRQ on 16 October or Bigetron on 18 October) and finish first if they win both.
TLID lock a top-two seed by beating ONIC. A loss could drop them to third.
Alter Ego must beat Geek Fam and EVOS and need NAVI to lose twice or TLID to lose to ONIC, plus a better game difference. AE finish no lower than fourth, and top three with one win.
Bigetron finish third to sixth, and at least fourth if they beat EVOS on 17 October.
EVOS and ONIC finish fourth to sixth. ONIC are sixth if they lose to Dewa and TLID.
